NOTE: Due to the current COVID-19 National outbreak, we are not doing any pre-purchase farm visits. We can provide additional pictures if needed. At the time your kid is due for pickup, we will have it set up at our farm for curbside pickup allowing for appropriate social distancing to help keep us and you safe. Multiple goat purchase discounts available ($25 off each additional goat after one is purchased). Purchased goats are healthy when they leave our farm. Kids will be disbudded, tattooed, wormed, vaccinated, and will have a fresh hoof trimming, and adults will have all current vaccinations and worming up to date along with a fresh hoof trimming. All wethers will be banded before leaving the farm. All animals picked up at the farm will come with a small starter supply of grain, minerals, hay/alfalfa to help with their transition.
A $50 non-refundable deposit will hold a kid/adult goat of your choice. We allow one week (7 days) for a deposit to arrive. If a deposit is not received during this time frame, the goat will be put back up for sale.
All kids reserved prior to weaning need to be picked up within a reasonable amount of time (8 - 10 weeks of age). If a kid is not picked up within 12 weeks of age, the kid will remain the property of Elsberry Farms, and the deposit will not be refunded.
A deposit on an adult goat or weaned kid will hold the animal for 30 days. If an animal is not picked up within 30 days, the goat(s) will remain the property of Elsberry Farms, and the deposit will not be refunded.
Deposits may be received as check. Payment in full is expected before any animal leaves the farm. Cash only is accepted if paying balance owed at time of pickup.
Testing for CL, CAE and Johne's through Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab is done annually on all goats older than 6 months of age.
No guarantees are made concerning adult height for bucks or does.
No guarantees are made in regards to the confirmation or milk production of any goat sold which can both be influenced by living conditions and proper feeding.
No guarantees are made that a goat will not grow scurs.
We reserve the right to retain any goat.
We reserve the right to cancel any transaction for any reason we deem necessary. This can be done up until the Bill of Sale/Transfer is signed. Should we choose to cancel a contract, the full amount of any monies paid will be refunded.
All sales are final. Due to circumstances beyond our control, once a goat leaves the farm no refund is offered. No returns. No exceptions.
Our Nigerians are registered with either AGS or ADGA and most are dual registered. All young kids will be registered with AGS by us unless otherwise stated. The AGS registration certificate and an ADGA application for registration will then be forwarded to the buyer. Wethers do not come with an ADGA registration certificate, however, we can provide a certificate of identification if requested. We do allow buyers to name kids on occasion. If you wish to name your kid, please notify us as soon as possible.
All shippinge costs (transportation, health certificates, testing, crates, etc.) are the buyers responsibility. Depending on our circumstances, we may also be able to meet buyers for a base fee of $25.00 plus $.30 a mile round trip.
